System Development

At Areté Associates, employees are encouraged to seek creative solutions to complex problems, and they are encouraged to aim to develop and build their own sensor and systems concepts. Given Areté Associates' diverse and energetic workforce, there are various systems under development including active and passive electro-optic (EO) systems, laser systems, and in-situ sensors.

Areté's active EO sensor systems are used in a variety of military reconnaissance applications including the detection and location of sea and beach laid mines and minefields.

Areté has developed several unique large format passive EO sensor systems for use in airborne ocean surveillance, ocean current and sea state, land surveillance, passive 3-D imaging, and precision targeting.

Areté has developed a variety of oceanic in-situ sensors to measure a wide range of parameters for numerous military and oceanographic applications.

Areté’s Laser Systems Group has developed the Primus series laser systems that utilize the latest diode-pumped solid state laser technology.
