Health Care Benefits (Eligible on first day of employment)

  • HMO or PPO Medical Plan Options – Employees pay a moderate cost share of the monthly medical premiums
  • Dental Plan – Areté pays the entire monthly premium
  • Vision Reimbursement Plan – Areté covers vision care expenses for employees and dependents
 

Retirement Plan Benefits

Areté contributes the sum of 10% of annual salary to qualified retirement plans; employees are eligible on the first day of employment and are 100% vested after 2 years of service; no employer-matching requirements.

    • Areté contributes 5% of annual salary to your qualified 401(k) plan
    • Areté offers both traditional and ROTH 401(k)plans
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
    • Areté contributes approximately 5% of annual salary to your qualified ESOP retirement plan

Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay

  • 19 paid days off per year; increases to 25 days per year after three years of employment
  • 9 paid Holidays per year

 

Transit and Parking Benefits

  • Areté pays for qualified transportation and parking expenses for employees up to the IRS allowable limit
 

Fitness Reimbursement Benefit

  • Areté reimburses employees up to $400 per year for fitness-related expenses, including gym memberships and/or fitness classes such as yoga, martial arts, etc.

 

Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance

  • Income protection of about 60% of an employee’s weekly salary (tax-free) in the event that a qualifying disability continues beyond a specified waiting period
 

Educational Assistance and Work-Related Certificate Programs

  • Areté reimburses employees up to the annual IRS allowable limit to continue their education and/or to obtain work-related certificates
 

Flexible Spending Accounts

  • Employees can elect to set aside pretax dollars for qualified medical and dependent care expenses up to the Federal allowable limits 
 

Life Insurance

  • Areté provides term coverage equal to two times annual salary for employees
  • Employees can purchase additional coverage for themselves and dependents under group plan rates
 

Long Term Care Insurance

  • Areté provides employees with $3,000 monthly benefit for 2 year duration, 90 day elimination period
  • Employees can purchase additional coverage and benefit options for themselves and dependents
  • Relatives are eligible to enroll at discounted premiums

 

Travel and Accident Insurance

  • Areté provides coverage in the amount of $250,000, payable in the event of accidental death while traveling on company business
 

On-Site Technical Library

  • Areté offers print and electronic resources with an emphasis on physics, engineering and math 
  • Topics include infrared imaging, optics, digital image processing, programming and graphics, as well as physics of radar, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, statistics and thermodynamics. 
  • The library also serves as a repository for peer-reviewed journals and industry periodicals.
